SK Hynix shares are now available on Solana following the South Korean semiconductor giant’s $28 billion Nasdaq listing, bringing one of the world’s largest AI memory manufacturers onchain.
The stock is available through three separate issuers: Backpack Securities through Sunrise, xStocks and Ondo. Each provides tokenized exposure to SK Hynix’s newly listed American depositary receipts (ADRs), with different structures for custody, redemption and corporate actions.
The launch comes alongside one of the largest foreign share offerings in U.S. market history. SK Hynix issued 17.79 million new underlying shares through its Nasdaq ADR offering, raising approximately $28 billion as the company expands production to meet demand from the AI industry.
The offering is the largest foreign share issuance in the U.S. since Alibaba’s 2014 IPO, and tokenized SK Hynix exposure is available on Solana from day one.
Three Versions of SK Hynix Come to Solana
Backpack Securities issues $SKHY through Sunrise as a tokenized security redeemable 1:1 into the corresponding security entitlement. The structure allows eligible investors to move the position between Solana, Backpack Securities and traditional brokerage infrastructure.
xStocks offers $SKHYx, which is collateralized 1:1 by underlying shares held with a regulated custodian and transferable around the clock. Ondo’s $SKHYon is structured as a total-return token backed 1:1 by shares held at U.S.-registered broker-dealers, with 24/7 transfers and 24/5 minting and redemption.
The three products put different tokenization models for the same newly listed security on Solana from the first day of its U.S. market availability.
SK Hynix Sits at the Center of the AI Memory Boom
SK Hynix is one of the world’s largest memory manufacturers and a leading producer of high-bandwidth memory, or HBM, the specialized memory used alongside advanced GPUs and other AI accelerators.
HBM has become increasingly important as AI models demand greater memory bandwidth. SK Hynix held an estimated 57% of the HBM market by revenue in the third quarter of 2025, while UBS has projected that the company could capture roughly 70% of the HBM4 market for Nvidia’s next-generation Rubin platform in 2026.
SK Hynix’s Nasdaq debut on Solana gives U.S. investors direct access to one of the companies underpinning the AI infrastructure buildout from day one.
