Strategy’s MSTR Stock Comes to Solana Through Backpack Securities

Strategy shares are now trading on Solana after Backpack Securities issued a tokenized version of $MSTR through Sunrise, bringing one of the public market’s most closely watched Bitcoin-linked stocks onchain while remaining redeemable 1:1 for traditional Strategy shares.

The tokenized shares are designed to move between onchain and traditional market infrastructure. MSTR can be traded across Solana, redeemed 1:1 for Strategy shares, and transferred into traditional brokerage accounts.

The official Solana token address is:

MSTRdWXMeZxdE8osAQy3fA4rvTY5rgummDSMEx6U7Nz

MSTR uses the tokenization model Backpack Securities introduced earlier this year.

Backpack Securities combines a traditional brokerage with an onchain tokenization layer. Eligible securities can be held through conventional brokerage infrastructure or converted into tokenized securities that can move across Solana.

What Is Backpack Securities?
Real security entitlements under UCC Article 8, tokenized 1:1 on Solana, and unified with crypto and perps in one Backpack account. Here’s how it works.

The tokenized positions maintain a connection to the underlying security rather than functioning purely as synthetic price trackers.

Backpack says its tokenized securities can be transferred 24/7 onchain, accessed through compatible wallets and decentralized finance applications, and converted back into traditional security entitlements. Investors can also transfer securities between Backpack and other traditional brokerage accounts.

Sunrise provides the Solana distribution infrastructure for the assets.

The partnership has already brought several tokenized securities onto the network, including SpaceX shares following the company's public listing, which generated $108 million in onchain trading volume within 24 hours of their launch, as well as Micron, SanDisk and other equities and funds.
