For the first time ever, Solana recorded more weekly spot decentralized exchange trades than the New York Stock Exchange, according to a Blockworks Solana spot DEX dashboard that tracks trades across Solana and several traditional finance venues.
Pump.fun led among venues, with 14,303,122 trades executed.

From that trading activity, Solana saw $2.67 billion in trading volume, led by SOL-stablecoin pairs at $1.20 billion (44.8% of total volume) and memecoin pairs at $726.7 million (27.2%). Together, the two categories accounted for roughly 72% of Solana’s total trading volume.
While the achievement does indeed set a new benchmark for the network, it's important to note that the chart measures trade count rather than dollar volume. Traditional exchanges such as the NYSE and Nasdaq process larger institutional orders, while Solana's activity includes smaller and more frequent onchain trades across decentralized venues.
It's now those greater targets that the ecosystem can set its sights on.
