Solana Mobile Expands App Distribution to Ledger Atom With Preinstalled Seeker App

The partnership brings Solana’s mobile app store and wallet to a third-party device slated to ship in summer 2027.

Solana Mobile Expands App Distribution to Ledger Atom With Preinstalled Seeker App

Solana Mobile named Ledger its first hardware expansion partner at Ledger Op3n 2026 in Paris, bringing its app store and wallet to another company’s hardware for the first time.

Ledger’s upcoming Atom device will ship with a preinstalled Seeker app on its home screen that combines the two services.

Ledger lists summer 2027 shipping for the Atom Founders Edition, and reservations are now open through the site.

How Ledger Atom Handles Signing

Atom is a data-only device with cellular connectivity through eSIM. It cannot make cellular voice calls, including emergency calls, or send SMS messages, though internet-based voice and video apps may work over data or Wi-Fi.

The device runs Android Open Source Project alongside a Secure Element running Ledger OS. The chip is EAL6+ certified, and the display and touch controls are physically isolated from Android. Users will sign and approve Seeker app transactions in Atom’s Secure Mode.

Ledger OS takes over the display in Secure Mode and switches off cameras, microphones, and other sensors. The Secure Element controls a Secure Bar that indicates when the mode is active, and a separate Ledger OS PIN authenticates sensitive actions.

This separates transaction review and approval from the ordinary Android environment. Ledger’s hardware protections cover select built-in apps and partner apps that integrate with those protections. Tamper-evident packaging and enclosure protections help detect physical interference.

One App Submission, More Devices

More than 1,500 decentralized applications available on Seeker will come to Atom, covering trading, payments, gaming, AI, and other uses. Developers will reach Atom users through the same dApp Store submission they use for Seeker, and the Seeker phone will remain fully supported.

The partnership follows Solana Mobile’s March 2026 opening of the Solana Mobile Stack to Android manufacturers at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Ledger supplies the Atom hardware; Solana Mobile supplies the integrated Seeker app.

Solana Mobile reported more than $13 billion in transaction volume on Seeker and 154 million transactions. It also reported more than 200,000 devices sold across Saga, introduced in 2023, and Seeker, introduced in 2025.
